There was a smell of Travel in the air this morning. What did Travel smell like? Like loud over crowded streets with food carts being pushed through masses of people and traffic. Like hagglers and sunscreen and salty air. And if you wondered what Travel sounded like, it sounded like the recession of clear gentle waves and foreign languages all around and rain and sunshine. Going further, what did Travel look like? Travel looked like exotic people feeling the heartbeat of adventure, roasted ducks with their heads still on and hanging in little neat rows, millions of smiles and stares and jaunts. That was how Travel smelled and looked and sounded, and this morning you could almost touch Travel.
